Kumaraguru Institute of Agriculture — Plant visits and sessions held on September 27 & 29, 2025.
ABT Foods Limited — Dairy Processing Unit
Scientists were guided through each section of the dairy processing unit where procured milk is processed into milk, curd, paneer, butter, ghee and milk powder. Detailed explanations of process flows and quality checks were provided.
ABT Farms — Livestock & Nutrition
A guided tour of the farm included discussion on cow breeds, lactation periods, feed, and nutrition management practices followed at ABT Farms.
Sakthi Soya — Soya Processing Plant
Participants observed the conversion of soya seeds into consumer products such as soya chunks and soya oil, with a walkthrough of each processing unit.
