KIA received the official approval for NCC from the 15(tn) Battalion at Erode in March 2021. The student selection has also been completed.
KIA had submitted a formal application for the same to the 15 (tn) Battalion at Erode. The application was 52 on the waiting list at the time of applying on 15.12.2017. The 15 (tn) Battalion at Erode had also sought the willingness of the institution to run the unit on a fully self-supporting system. The institution had agreed to it. As we have received approval from the 15 (tn) Battalion Erode, the NCC unit has started functioning in KIA.

1.Annual Training Camp – B certificate – 2022 – 20 Nos attended – Kongu Engineering College, Erode.
2.Shooting camp – 2022 – 2 Nos attended – Kongu Engineering College, Erode.
3.Combined Annual Training Camp –B & C Certificate -2022 – 17 Nos attended – Kongu Polytechnic College, Erode.
4.Annual Training Camp -2023–C certificate – 20 Nos attended – Vellalar College for Arts & Science, Erode.
• Totally 19 cadets (2020 batch students) have been awarded ranks and passed the B certificate examination conducted during 2021 academic year.
• 19-02-2023 – C certificate examination conducted at Kongu Engineering College – 18 cadets participated.
• 05-03-2023 – B Certificate examination will be conducted at Vellalar College for Arts & science, (Women), Erode – 18 cadets.
