NO LOCK DOWN FOR LEARNING THIRST AT KIA
India is at a crucial juncture in its fight against COVID-19, the pandemic disease which affected over billions of people worldwide. Lockdown may halt any process but not learning. Kumaraguru Institute of Agriculture is one the pioneering affiliated Colleges of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University took a lead in handling online classes. The Staff members have been trained on online coaching before the start of lockdown. The students being in their native places are attending all the classes. The Scientists also used up with the online classes and sharing their material in Google Classroom. All the theory classes are being conducted and the practical classes will be handled in the college once normalcy regains. Online quiz and Assignments are also being given to the students and it is being evaluated. The students who have failed in previous semesters are also being trained and given coaching during this period. On an average, in a week there are 80 online classes, 25 quizzes are being conducted with 95 % of students attendance. Certainly, this lock down period makes the students of KIA to learn the subjects as well as the digital technologies.
